Q Customized Corrective Treatment
The Q Customized Corrective Treatment is designed to focus on your skin’s unique condition. This treatment is customized to the individual and can incorporate several corrective strategies simultaneously. Depending on each client’s goals, this treatment can effectively:
- Reduce the depth of surface lines
- Smooth out skin texture
- Treat mild acne
- Help fade brown spots
It will also remove the uppermost layer of dead skin cells from the surface allowing more vibrant skin to emerge. There may be slight peeling with this level of treatment. The outcome of therapy will be a smoother skin texture, more even tone and color, and a glowing, radiant appearance.
With a variety of peels available at our Rochester and Victor, NY, medical spas, our providers help each client choose the best option at a consultation appointment. Options include:
WE SPECIALIZE IN EXCELLENCE
For an experience far superior to a day spa or a doctor's office, choose Q Med Spa for your nonsurgical cosmetic treatment. We offer you:
Expertise: Our medical director and internationally recognized facial rejuvenation expert, Dr. Vito Quatela personally trains and supervises our experienced team.
Qualifications: Highly trained registered nurses administer many of our offerings. All of our providers have the highest level of training and experience in the area.

People who experience periodic mild acne conditions respond well to frequent detoxification care. Stress, hormones, a less than perfect diet, and a busy lifestyle can often wreak havoc with our complexions. This treatment is a true lunch-time peel for those with a tight schedule but in need of skin correction. This peel will release deeply embedded impurities, clean up mild acne, and refresh the skin.
Glycolic Corrective Treatment – Medical Strength
This treatment utilizes a high concentration of glycolic acid 2 to 3 times more concentrated than other glycolic facial treatments found outside of a physician-directed environment. Glycolic corrective treatment softens and exfoliates the outer layer of the skin resulting in increased skin clarity and a fresher tone and texture. A slight tingling sensation may be experienced during the treatment. The skin may flake minimally for 2 to 3 days. This is a quick, effective, light chemical peel with no downtime.
Ultra Peel Forte®
The Ultra Peel Forte chemical peel effectively treats skin with signs of aging, acne, pigmentation, photo-damage and damage from smoking. This is an ideal treatment for dehydrated skin in need of rejuvenation. The Ultra Peel Forte improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while promoting an even skin tone. Moderate to aggressive exfoliation will be experienced, depending on the number of layers applied. Overall, the final result will be plump, hydrated and ultra-soft skin.
Obagi Blue Peel®
One of the strongest and most corrective of our light chemical peels, the Obagi Blue Peel is used in conjunction with the Obagi Nu-Derm® system to dramatically and quickly improve your skin’s overall complexion and health. The Obagi® system treats blemishes, acne scars, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and sun damage from the inside out. Skin health is improved by the use of topical agents that work synergistically with skin cell functions to remove dead skin cells, stimulate the production of new skin cells, regulate and increase circulation.
Increased circulation allows skin to constantly renew itself, repair damage, retain natural moisture and function at a peak level. Obagi products will be provided to prepare the skin at home prior to receiving the Obagi Blue Peel. Depending on your particular lifestyle, there may be some downtime with this treatment, but according to our satisfied Obagi Blue Peel clients, the results of tighter, smoother and more radiant skin are well worth the effort.
Enerpeel® Eye Peel
The Enerpeel eye treatment can be used to help lessen the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of premature skin aging around the eyes. Benefits of this peel are a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and a lightening and brightening effect of the eye area. Your eyes will look and feel renewed and refreshed. A series of 4 treatments is typically recommended to achieve maximum results. Package pricing for additional savings is available to include a complimentary Avène Soothing Eye Cream to enhance treatment effects.
Microdermabrasion rejuvenates sun damaged skin, reduces fine lines, minimizes mild acne scarring and the appearance of pores, and lightens age spots leaving skin supple and vibrant. At Q the Medical Spa, our crystal-less microdermabrasion system gently removes the dull outermost layer of skin by polishing it with a state-of-the-art diamond cut wand. Removing the dead skin leaves a smoother surface and promotes new cell growth. Microdermabrasion is used to enhance the appearance of all surfaces of your skin. The face and décolletage are the more commonly treated areas, but microdermabrasion can also benefit the neck and hands.
How Does Microdermabrasion Work?
This is a gradual exfoliation procedure that removes damaged skin cells resulting from age, the sun, and other heredity and environmental factors. It does not require anesthesia, is not surgical in nature, and allows most clients to return to normal activity immediately. It is commonly referred to as a lunchtime peel.
What to Expect During Your Microdermabrasion Appointment
During a microdermabrasion appointment, your nurse or aesthetician will begin with skin cleansing and a review of the areas of concern. We use a crystal-less system that does not produce possible harmful inhalants. It is a dry system and does not use any chemicals, solutions, or other products to stimulate a peel. For this reason, microdermabrasion is considered a mechanical exfoliation and feels like a deep exfoliation. This works well for clients who are not able to tolerate other peeling or exfoliating agents. Sometimes a peel may be recommended as part of the treatment plan.
The treatment time will vary depending on the specific areas being addressed.
Vibraderm & Vibrafusion Therapies
This advanced technology takes microdermabrasion to the next level. Vibraderm stimulates micro-circulation while exfoliating dead, unwanted skin. The dual action paddles better prepare the treatment area for deeper absorption of corrective professional products, which helps to maximize treatment results. This system does not use crystals or suction, therefore making it safe for sensitive skin types with conditions such as rosacea or broken capillaries. This treatment is very popular because it helps patients to achieve a more even, clear complexion as well as improved skin texture.
