When The Season Changes, It’s Time to Change Your Skincare

-by Jennifer R. Martindale LPN, LE

It’s that time once again! Fall has arrived and, if you haven’t already, it’s time to think about changing up your skincare regime.

How did your skin handle the hot, humid weather this summer? Do you have some residual redness, pigment, breakouts or visible changes happening? Let’s get your skin back on track and start repairing any damage that was done during those hot, sunny summer months!

What Does Your Daily Skincare Entail?

What are you currently doing every morning and evening for your skin? Does your routine need an upgrade? Or maybe even need to be simplified? Most commonly, starting back at the basics will help get you back on track.

My recommendation is to always start with a good face wash, and wash your face twice daily. In the morning, use a good quality Vitamin C and moisturizer with SPF. In the evening, always use a good moisturizer or some form of Vitamin A. Dependent on your skin, this simple routine can save you some visible aging!

Meet With Your Skincare Provider

It’s probably time to follow up with your skincare professional and have them make some recommendations for skincare treatments that will help enhance your home care. These may include peels, microneedling, or possibly some laser treatments to get started on some correction. Remember that multiple modalities often work harmoniously to help you achieve the best possible results. This combined with proper skincare products is key!

It’s time to schedule some self care and get back to the basics! We look forward to helping with all your skincare needs. To make an appointment, call the Medical Spa at 585.244.1010 or contact us online.
