Being a Nurse at Q the Medical Spa

Alyssa, LPN

by Alyssa Wing, LPN

Let me start out by introducing myself: my name is Alyssa, and I am a Licensed Practical Nurse. I came to Q Med Spa after working in an OB/GYN office! Starting my position in aesthetics, my mindset had to switch gears. I love helping people; it is extremely rewarding to me. However, I am no longer helping through an office or hospital setting, but helping client’s improve their quality of life through beauty and confidence in a nonsurgical, cosmetic way.

Switching my mindset to the care and treatment of skin has helped to benefit my personal life as well. I am much more aware of what is going on with my own skin, and I am taking better care of it now by using the right products and doing the right corrective treatments. This has made me feel better about myself and the work that I’m doing to protect and care for my skin.

Extensive Aesthetic Training for Nurses

Everything that we do here at Q Med Spa comes with extensive training, which I love, as I feel it’s extremely important and sets us apart. Patients can be confident in the care they receive because all of the providers are certified and have completed specific laser training, skin care training, and product training to ensure the proper knowledge needed to provide effective treatments and results. This is also one of the differences between a day spa and a medical spa – we are using results-oriented products and services that are backed by research and tailored to each individual.

Q Med Spa has a plethora of treatments to offer. It has been key for me to learn about what each patient’s individual needs are in order to guide and direct them in the best plan for their concerns. Whether it’s treating fine lines and wrinkles, skin tone and texture, or removing unwanted hair, we have an effective treatment for everything!

I cannot wait to continue to further my education here as new treatments become available, and to make all of our clients, both women and men, feel good about themselves. Being comfortable in your own skin is key to feeling both beautiful and confident, inside and out!
