Sclerotherapy
Developed in the 1920's, sclerotherapy is a treatment option for the reduction of veins and broken cappillaries. During the procedure, a sclerosing solution is injected into the vein through a micro-needle. The tiny needle generally causes very little pain. The sclerosing solution causes the vein to collapse and gradually disappear over time. Sclerotherapy may eliminate the need for a more invasive surgical procedure.
